Brief History of Winchester Academy
Winchester Academy was founded in 2000 with a desire to bring quality education to the Winchester area. In the first year, Enrichment Services, Inc. opened and began serving area students who needed individualized tutoring. The program has served over 400 students ranging in age from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
In 2001, Winchester Junior Academy was founded to serve the younger child within the community. A high-quality preschool program was organized to raise the bar for all preschool programs in the area. Small class size, quality education opportunities, foreign language, and computers were all progressive educational experiences for this growing community.
In 2002, Winchester Academy started with a class of Kindergarten students. These students were provided with a developmentally appropriate program that stretched the minds of all children and allowed for creativity along with meeting their individual needs. The success of this small class led to the expansion of the school which has added a grade each year. In 2009 the school is adding Winchester Academy High School and opening its doors to students in grades 9 - 12.
